Toptranslation is a translation agency for medium-sized and large business clients. We offer translations into more than 50 languages and have a worldwide network of translators. Toptranslation is certified according to ISO 17100 and ISO 18587. We are always on the lookout for qualified specialist translators, post-editors, proofreaders and DTP experts.
Our project managers are responsible for creating projects in the CAT tool, formatting documents and communicating with customers. All questions from the translators of a project are collected and made available to all participating translators in a Q & A. This gives you more time for the actual core of your work: translating.
In your translator profile, you can specify your language combinations, your specialist areas, your services (e.g. translating, proofreading, interpreting, post-editing, etc.) as well as your word prices and minimum order values. This way, you will only receive requests that match your skills, knowledge and price expectations.
All orders are processed via the dashboard developed by Toptranslation. This means you always have an overview of completed and current orders and also have access to the style guide, reference documents and the current glossary of the respective customer at all times.
You will receive an e-mail from us for each order quotation. It specifies the language combination, subject area, number of words/lines, the fee offered and the turnaround time. You can accept or reject orders in the dashboard with one click.

We use memoQ for most of our translation projects. In the best case you have already worked with this tool, if not, our project managers will be happy to help you.
We support numerous customers from 14 core industries in more than 20 countries and offer you a variety of assignments depending on your skills and knowledge.
During normal office hours, a contact person from project management is always available. You can submit questions and comments about a specific order in the dashboard and, of course, you can also contact us by phone or email.
How do I become a Toptranslation translator?
If you would like to become part of our global team of translators, please create a profile here. There you can upload your CV and relevant certificates, specify your language pairs and subject areas and enter your word or line prices. An employee from Vendor Management will check your details and get back to you as soon as possible.
Do I have to sign a contract?
You don't have to sign a contract. The prerequisite for cooperation is the acceptance of our General Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully and get in touch if you have any questions.
Which clients will I be working for?
We support customers from various industries (you can find more information about our industries here here) and in more than 20 countries. You will receive requests according to your language combinations and subject areas.
Where can I find the contact details of my project manager?
You can find the contact details of the responsible project manager on the project page in the dashboard. There you can send messages directly and of course you can also reach us by phone. You can find the telephone number of your project manager on the project page.
How do I receive order offers?
If we have a suitable job offer for you, you will receive an e-mail from us. It specifies the language combination, subject area, number of words, the fee offered and the processing time. You can accept or reject orders in the dashboard with one click. If you are unable to work on an assignment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we have more time to find another language expert.
Why am I no longer receiving order requests?
How many order requests you receive depends on your language combination and your specialist areas - and, of course, on how often our customers order these languages and specialist areas. If you receive few inquiries, it is probably due to normal fluctuations in incoming orders. If you have any questions, please contact our Vendor Management.

What information must my invoice contain?
Where should I send my invoice?
Please send your invoice as a PDF file by e-mail to billing@toptranslation.com. Invoices that we receive by post usually take a little longer to process.
Should I issue an invoice after each order?
Please create a collective invoice for all orders that you have processed in a calendar month.
What payment options are available?
We can pay your invoice by bank transfer and Paypal.

What if I have a question about the source text?
If any questions arise during the translation process, please contact the relevant project manager. You can find the contact details in the dashboard on the project page.
Can I work with Trados?
Most of our projects are handled with memoQ. We grant a project-based license so that you can use it free of charge. You can find video tutorials on memoQ further down this page. A manual for installing the memoQ client will be provided with your first memoQ project. If you have any questions, please contact the responsible project manager.
How do I deliver a finished translation?
You can easily upload a finished translation to the dashboard on the project page. If the translation was processed in memoQ, you do not upload a file to the dashboard, but deliver it in memoQ. A delivery in memoQ is technically only possible if the QA check has been carried out and all QA hits have been processed or answered. Then click on "Mark order as completed" in the dashboard. As a result, the order disappears from the "Current orders" view and appears in the "Completed orders" tab.
How does the QA check/spell check work in memoQ?
Before you deliver a translation to us, please carry out a spell check and the QA check in memoQ. You can find instructions on how to do this in this short Video.
Can I work in memoQ in Webtrans?
Please work in the local copy whenever possible. This is the only way to perform the QA check.
What happens if I cannot meet a deadline?
If you are unable to meet a deadline, please inform your project manager as soon as possible. You can find the contact details in the dashboard on the project page.
When is the translation provided during a revision?
If you have been commissioned as a reviser, we will provide you with the translation as soon as possible. You can find the expected date in the dashboard on the project page, in some cases the translation will be released for you earlier.
What is SecuDoc?
SecuDoc is a SaaS solution (Software as a Service) developed by Toptranslation. The software prevents the downloading of source texts and translations and therefore meets the highest data protection requirements. You can edit the translations directly in the dashboard in an editor.
This is my first time working with a memoQ license. How does it work?
