Short and sweet
What is a certified translation?
A certified translation is a certificate of authenticity that certifies the completeness and accuracy of a translation. It can only be issued by a sworn or sworn translator for the preparation of certified translations and is only legally valid as a printed original with stamp and signature.
After an examination, translators are sworn in or authorized by the competent regional court. The wording varies from state to state, but the meaning is identical.
Please note that a certified translation does not provide any information about the authenticity of the original document. If necessary, this must be confirmed by a notary.
