Mobile working
With us, you can work on the move in Germany and other European countries. You also have the opportunity to work mainly from home.
Flexible working hours
Depending on your position, you can organize your working hours flexibly. All teams that have direct customer contact (e.g. project management) must of course be available at the times when most of our customers are working. We try to give every employee a little leeway.
hvv-/Germany ticket
We cover the cost of an hvv or Germany ticket.
Central location
Our Hamburg office is located directly in the city center and is easily accessible by public transport. The main train station and the Jungfernstieg and Mönckebergstraße stops are just a few minutes' walk away.
Overtime compensation
Overtime cannot always be avoided, but can be reduced in the same month. We record the overtime and discuss with the team leaders how we can achieve an even workload for all team members. In recent years, the number of overtime hours in all teams has been close to zero.
Modern work equipment (laptops, CAT tools)
We provide each employee with their own laptop and, if required, a company cell phone. The laptops are replaced with newer devices every three years at the latest. Our system administration also ensures that you always have the latest software versions of MS Office and our CAT tools at your disposal.
Systematic onboarding and structured induction
We want to make your time at Toptranslation as pleasant as possible. Depending on the position, this includes standardized and individual training and the opportunity to get to know new colleagues before your first day at work.
Part-time possible
All positions with us are part-time. This also includes management positions.
The opportunity to take on more responsibility within the team
Depending on your individual personal and professional development, you can take on more responsibility within the team. For example, through additional tasks or as a team leader.
Various team events
Every year, all employees from Hamburg and Seville get together either for the Christmas party or the summer party. There are also several smaller team events in the two cities. Last year, for example, the Hamburg team designed bottle gardens and the team in Seville solved exciting puzzles in the escape room. Here are a few impressions here.

In what form should I apply?
Please send us your application by e-mail to jobs@toptranslation.com. It is best to send us your documents as PDF files. You can also create and send a PDF with all the documents.
What documents do I need to submit?
We require a current CV and the relevant certificates. This includes training, university and job references. A short cover letter (ideally no more than one A4 page) in which you describe your motivation for applying is optional. If you have a specific salary request, you are welcome to specify it. We are also interested in your earliest possible starting date.
I don't meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
Career changers are welcome. However, a lack of language skills can be an exclusion criterion.
What happens after my application?
Once we have received your application, we will review all documents and contact you if any important information is missing. Each application is examined individually and carefully. When reviewing your documents, we are particularly interested in your education, your professional experience and your language skills. Depending on the number of applications received, the review process may take different lengths of time, but we will normally get back to you within three weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime, please get in touch by telephone or by E-mail.
How and where does the interview take place?
Depending on the position, interviews take place via video conference (we use Google Meet for this) or on site in Hamburg.
Are travel costs to the interview covered?
Travel expenses will only be covered by prior arrangement. Hotel costs are generally not covered.
What happens to my data?
Your personal data will be processed and treated confidentially in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation. Your documents will only be viewed by those Toptranslation employees who are responsible for the respective application. If no contract is concluded, your documents will be deleted after three months at the latest.
Can I send an unsolicited application?
You are welcome to send us an unsolicited application. Please send us a current CV and a short cover letter in which you tell us which areas of the company interest you and what motivates you to work for us. Please also let us know if you have a specific salary expectation. We will contact you as soon as we have a suitable vacancy.
In which language will the interview take place?
The interviews are usually conducted in German.
Should I expect unusual or stressful questions in the interview?
We are particularly interested in what motivates you at work, your professional aptitude and whether your expectations and our requirements match. For example, we ask questions about your professional experience and questions related to your day-to-day work. We would like to get as realistic a picture of you as possible and at the same time you should also be able to get as realistic a picture as possible of the vacant position and of everyday working life with us. Questions such as "What do you do when you meet a penguin in the fridge?" are therefore not part of a structured interview.
Can I do an apprenticeship at Toptranslation?
We are not currently offering any apprenticeships.
Can I do an Erasmus+ internship at Toptranslation?
We do not currently offer Erasmus+ internships.
